All about sewing and clothes and stuff

Last night I had a dream about snakes wearing little tiny outfits, with lace and buttons and things.  It even made me laugh in my dream.  Now I wish I knew someone with a snake so I could make little tiny snake outfits.

In other news, I will buy a sewing machine with my tax rebate.  My obsession with fabric stores goes way back to my young childhood, when I would walk down to the fabric store in between dance classes.  (The neighboring dollar store undoubtedly explains my love of kitsch).  Fabric stores just seem like one big possibility waiting to be made.  The real problem is that I have no skills at all. 

And, for all my love of fabric stores, I've actually been preparing by buying things to modify from thrift stores.  I picked up two godawful neon yellow t-shirts with reflective strips on them and I'm going to turn them into the world's fugliest, sexiest bike-safety-minidress the world has ever seen.  Possibly the only bike-safety-minidress the world has ever seen.  I think I am in love with bike safety as fashion.  I think I will start a trend that is bike-safety-steampunk.  I am convinced that all of my clothes should be both neon and reflective, but they should never ever look like raver clothes.  Can I achieve the impossible?!

In related news, I am totally obsessed with Fug Madness. I've printed out the brackets or rackets or sprockets or whatever it is, and filled it out and am now loyally hitting refresh until the next batch of voting appears.  I have always held a deep and mindless hatred of all things March Madness, but the Fug Girls have changed that.  I've got a handful of favorites, but a handful is too many so I haven't really formalized my favorite.  So, I guess I'll do that right now:

I'm going to go with Courtney Peldon!
